On October 9, 2016, 1:30pm – 6pm at Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center, 400 Belfast Rd, Nazareth, PA 18064, there is a special gathering to drum for earth and pray for water.
Today, the premise that our Earth is a living and breathing organism is still awaiting acknowledgement in the courts of law. But the fact that ecosystems have the inalienable rights to be and strive is beyond question by any system or government. The Earth and water and sky long for our wisdom; for us to take the responsibility to defend and enforce these higher laws; to not rob our grandchildren of the opportunity to live in the place free of chaos and destruction.
At Standing Rock, many are answering this call now, in a profoundly human way to end the destruction and protect our home and our children. What is happening there now is affecting all of us and we must learn from it to stand in solidarity, create a space for the voices to be heard, speak up for the rights of life givers, for the land, water, air, generations to come. Without them, we have nothing.
If you are feeling called, please join us on October 9 at Jacobsburg Environmental Center. We will gather as Rainbow Warriors – in the theme of the 7th Generation and we seek to restore the ways that respect when we Touch Mother Earth. Respect for human rights, organic food, clean water and more are ALL possible because we desire a healthy life. We remember and shall maintain these.
We will meet at the platform that sits about 2/10th of a mile into the wonderful park (follows along the right side of brook – trail starts before the footbridge). We will hike and then create Peace Mandala from the Nature Gifts. We will chant calling the directions and blessings upon us. We will do a guided purification through scanning, cleansing and rebuilding and we will seek for peaceful resolution for the tribal lands and all to be free of pollution from pesticides, fracking, contaminated water from run-off and other man-made destruction. And we shall drum!
